Job Title: EDI Developer
Location: Albertville, Alabama
Job Purpose:
We are looking for an experienced EDI Developer to design, implement, and maintain automated systems that exchange business data electronically. This role involves developing applications and processes that either stand alone or integrate with existing software to manage data and automate complex tasks. You will also provide ongoing support for these systems throughout their lifecycle, resolving issues and making necessary modifications to meet evolving business requirements.
Key Job Elements:
- Provide application support, including debugging issues, addressing application-related questions, and offering insights into business functions.
- Gather requirements for modifications to existing applications and the development of new EDI solutions.
- Design solutions, create implementation plans, and manage project timelines to ensure timely delivery.
- Prioritize, schedule, and track tasks and releases in a fast-paced, dynamic business environment.
- Supervise and support other developers, delegate tasks, and ensure progress is tracked and goals are met.
- Review team performance, provide guidance on SMART goals, and oversee development progress.
Education / Training:
- Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field.
Qualifications and Experience:
- 5-7+ years of IT experience, including a solid understanding of the entire software development life cycle.
- Proficiency in core technologies including PHP, HTML, SQL, and JavaScript is essential.
- Strong experience with EDI systems and the integration of EDI tools into existing software and business processes.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Understanding of application development, as well as the underlying servers and databases being utilized.
- Experience with LN development, a strong grasp of accounting principles, and knowledge of manufacturing processes is a plus.
- Excellent technical writing skills, communication, and interpersonal skills to engage with teams and stakeholders of varying technical expertise.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to resolve issues quickly and accurately.
